RESTful APIs are very simple, they use web services on standard HTTPS.
In a nutshell, via the Internet using the DSS REST API:
- Protocol: HTTPS
- Port: TCP 443
- Hostname: hosted.datascopeapi.reuters.com
- IP: 192.165.219.152
