Heartbeat and Company's proxy to use Eikon DAPI

Hello!

As everyone else, I am working remotely currently.

Is there a way to be logged in Desktop Eikon, but not be connected to my company's proxy to be able to use Eikon Data API calls? Currently, if I am not connected to the proxy, Heartbeat (realtime data) is down and no Python requests can be sent.

Can my IP address be added to the list of "approved" addresses for my login credentials so that I do not need to connect to proxy every time? It slows down everything massively. Many thanks!

Hello @alex.yermolayev,

I believe that proxy, is what enables your Eikon instance to reach the Eikon hosting endpoints from a secure environment, likely you are behind a firewall, therefore adding your IP address to approved lists would not be helpful in facilitating the connectivity.

You can examine Eikon connectivity from Eikon -> Configuration Manager tool. Depending on your organization's policy, the configuration modification may be disabled. In either case, I would still not recommend changing configuration, as the changes may result in your instance not being able tor reach the assigned endpoints.
