In CM(customer managed) Eikon terminal, can a trader run 'pip install eikon' command to install the Python library for Eikon Data API?

1) In CM(customer managed) Eikon terminal, can a trader run 'pip install eikon' command to install the Python library for Eikon Data API? The trader accesses Eikon via our private DD network.

2) If no, is there a workaround to install the Python library?

@Yujin.Xu

It depends on the network settings. If they have a proxy that can be used to access the Internet, they can run 'pip install eikon' with proxy settings. Please refer to this thread.

However, the client can install it offline. However, they need to contact their IT team to download the package for them.

Hello @Yujin.Xu

Regarding Eikon Data API offline installation, please refer to this article. However, it also depends on the client network setting as mentioned by my colleague above.
