Query vessel data by Vessel Name

Hi,

I know how to retrieve vessel data by its RIC, but I'd like to know a way through which I can retrieve vessel data by using the Vessel Name.

Thanks,

Hi @xavier.magi

As far as I know, this is not possible using the API.

Hi @xavier.magi

I think you can follow these steps:

Thanks for the fast reply.

Unfortunately this does not solve my issue, as I need a programmatic way to query vessel data knowing the vessel name (or IMO).

Is there a way I can query vessel data by its name on the eikon api, NOT using the desktop app?

@xavier.magi

If you know the IMO, you can use it to query data.

You can use Formula Builder in Eikon Excel to see all available fields. For vessels, all available fields are in the Commodities Physical Assets category.
