nasdaq basic instrument type field

Hi, everyone,

From the following document NASDAQ Basic RICs, Which field can be used to differentiate instrument type like stock, bond, fund etc ? I read all fields, but without luck. Or maybe the document field or field explanation incomplete for reference ?

Thanks for all coming reply.

@Umer Nalla Thanks for your advice. I read the post provided, and finally found the matrix a bit complex and hard to understand. My simple request is how to identify stocks, funds, etf, adr. So is there any way that can meet my request? Or if anyone can list the reverse mapping from my request to RECORDTYPE value list ?

Hi @wangfugen

Due the huge breadth of instrument types / asset classes etc that we provide I can understand it can be quite complex and overwhelming.

As this forum is more for programming type queries, rather than content queries - I would recommend you raise a 'I need help understanding content within the product' ticket with our helpdesk. That way a Content specialist can work closely with you and guide you to obtain the information you require.
