DSS REST API HTTP Retrieve based on ExtractedFileName (not ExtractedFileId)

Hello,

Is there a way of retrieving the data from the Extracted File by Name not by Id, for instance if you know what your Extracted File Name is/will be.

For example we have found:

https://hosted.datascopeapi.reuters.com/RestApi/v1//Extractions/ExtractedFiles('{ExtractedFileId}')/$value

Where the {ExtractedFileId} can be found here: https://hosted.datascopeapi.reuters.com/RestApi/v1/Extractions/ExtractedFiles

Though we'd be interested in doing the equivelent by Name, so the Extracted File Id step can be skipped.

Best regards,

Gareth

That concept is supported for Lists, Report Templates, and Schedules, but not for ExtractedFile. There is no real reason it cannot be added as a feature, but it would require sending an enhancement request to the DSS PM team.

Alternatively client can utilize FTP in case they need to pull extracted file. if client is lazy to use FTP then they can write a script in any language and create .BAT file over FTP which will run FTP commands.

@gareth.teage Is this request raised for a particular client or a generic request submitted by you. Please clarify.

@Sridevi P

Hi Sridevi,

It was something that came out of a client question, and this was to check if we had, we didn't so closed this off with the client at the time, it's since been asked by a few other Content Services member if we had (for their clients), I directed them to this thread. If you need client names please let us know.

Many thanks,

Gareth
