Can the API be used to derive the tax rate (for a customer/location) instead calculating the tax amount?

We have an external system that needs to speak to our OneSource installation. Can it be used to derive the tax rate for a customer/location. Also, whether tax exemption status for a customer can be dervied?

@Sadeepg,

The tax rate lookup isn't published via this developer community, you can find information on the tax rate finder service in your tax engine (Determination). Logon to the system Harsco has deployed, then under Menu > Tax Rate Finder you will find the rate finder tool as a UI. the back-end service is exposed via the services URL (https://<host>:<port>/sabrix/services) replace host/port with your values of your tax engine deployment. You can find documentation in the online help of Determination, logon and navigate to HELP > Content/Search. In the search field type "Tax Rate Finer" (with quotes), you should get two listings, select the "Listing Tax Rates and Fees" link. If you have questions please open a support ticket via https://tax.thomsonreuters.com/support/onesource/indirect-tax/.

Sadeep,

Thanks for your interest in using our Indirect Tax API's. Are you currently using ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination? If so for what company? This would help me in better directing the answer to your question, but in short, yes we have a Tax Rate Lookup service that probably can meet your needs.

Yes. We are using Indirect tax determination and I am from Harsco Corporation. Can you please share details of the tax rate lookup service?
